'The Lady of Shadow' The Night descends on wings of ebony The moon is dark and shadows fill the world I close my eyes so that my mind may see To journey to the realm where dreams unfurl I meet the Shadow Lady at the gate Beyond which only death and madness loom She looks at me as if to judge my fate Then beckons, and I follow to my tomb She smiles at me, both sinister and kind And opens up my chest and takes my heart She eats a blackened piece, so seals the bind So from her realm I'll never truly part      There's darkness in this life that's beautiful      So surrender to the sweetness of it's pull
